The 2024-2025 season is the worst season in Manchester United's long history. It is no wonder that the Red Devils coach, Ruben Amorim, once spoke about the fact that the current Man United squad is the worst in the club's history.

Recently, Man United lost 0-1 against Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Sunday (16/02) night IST, through a single goal from James Maddison (13'). Man United had 16 shots (nine on target) from 44 percent possession and could not score a goal.

Man United's position has now dropped drastically to 15th in the standings with 29 points, 12 points behind Ipswich Town who are in 18th place. Tottenham are in 12th place with 30 points.

Man United have won just eight, drawn five and lost 12, scoring 28 goals and conceding 35 in 25 games. They have also lost eight of their last 12 Premier League games, winning three and drawing one.

Manchester United's Fate Since Losing 12 Times in 25 Matches

According to Opta, Man United have lost 12 of their 25 Premier League games this season: eight wins and five draws. That is their most defeats in 25 games in a single season since 1973-74 (13).

What happened to Man United at that time? Man United was relegated. Ruben Amorim admitted that this situation was very bad for the club, he asked for support from the fans and also admitted that he was more worried about the current situation than his future fate.

"(The support from the fans) is very important. As I said this week, sometimes it's very difficult to face them in this moment, but we do everything, I do everything," Amorim said on Man United's official website.

"Sometimes we can do it or not, in this context, so we know that they want to see more. They are in a difficult moment, we know that, and we tried everything to turn things around."

"We will do it this week and in the next game, we want to win the next game. I am not worried (about Amorim). I understand our fans, what the people and the media think about it."

"I want to finish the league strongly, I'm not worried about myself, I'm worried about the club, the team, the players. I hate losing; it's the worst feeling. The rest I don't think about. I just want to help my players."

"I understand my situation, my job, I am confident in my job and I just want to win games. I care more about the club and the team and the position in the standings is my concern. I am not worried about myself," Amorim concluded.
