Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, poured out his heart after losing 1-0 against Tottenham Hotspur in the 2024-2025 Premier League match, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Sunday (16/2). Amorim feels his job is very difficult.
Manchester United visit Tottenham's headquarters in a limping state. The Red Devils are missing many players, such as Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, Toby Collyer, Leny Yoro, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, and Mason Mount.
Finally, Ruben Amorim was forced to think outside the box. However, James Maddison's goal in the 13th minute made the difference.
Speaking after the final whistle, Ruben Amorim felt his job as Manchester United manager was very tough. He hopes the storm will pass soon.
"I have a lot of problems. My job is very hard. But I am here to continue working until next week with confidence. I will try to win again," Amorim told Sky Sports.
"Right now, the most important thing is not just the idea or the system. The most important thing is to persevere and think about the little things. Improve the little things for the next game and not look at the table or the schedule."
"Of course, I have to do it because we have a lot of games. We play in three competitions with a small squad," Amorim explained.
Hope for Manchester United
Ruben Amorim does not want to lose to the situation. The most important thing now is to bring Manchester United to the best possible place.
"My focus is on the next game. Let's do everything to win some games to finish the season. Then, think in the bigger picture," Amorim said.
"Right now, the most important thing is to keep the players healthy, recover and focus on what we have to do in the next game. That's our goal."
The defeat made Manchester United's position continue to decline. Currently, Man United sits in 15th place or just three levels above the red zone.
